This Charging Network Use & Fair Access Policy (“Policy”) sets forth guidelines governing the fair, safe, and efficient use of the Velocicharge electric vehicle charging network (“Network”). This Policy is supplemental to and forms part of Velocicharge’s Terms & Conditions of Use (“Terms”).

1. Purpose & Scope

Velocicharge operates a shared public charging network intended to provide fair access to electric vehicle charging for all users. This Policy is designed to:

  • Promote responsible and fair use of charging stations
  • Set reasonable expectations regarding station availability and performance
  • Clarify user responsibilities related to vehicle compatibility and charging behavior

This Policy applies to all public charging stations operated by Velocicharge, unless otherwise specified.

2. Fair Use & Idle Behavior

Charging stations are intended for active charging only.

Users are expected to:

  • Monitor their charging session
  • Disconnect and move their vehicle promptly once charging is complete
  • Avoid occupying charging spaces when not actively charging

A vehicle connected to a charger without actively charging, or remaining connected beyond a reasonable period after charging completion, may be considered idle.

Idle fees, administrative charges, or enforcement actions may apply in accordance with:

  • Station signage
  • App notifications
  • The Terms & Conditions

Failure to receive notifications does not exempt users from responsibility.

3. Station Availability & Performance

Velocicharge does not guarantee:

  • Charger availability at any specific location or time
  • Continuous operation without interruption
  • Maximum or advertised charging speeds

Charging performance may vary based on factors including, but not limited to:

  • Vehicle make, model, and battery condition
  • Battery state of charge and temperature
  • Power availability and grid conditions
  • Environmental factors and maintenance activity

Information displayed in the App regarding availability or speed is informational only and may not reflect real-time conditions.

4. Vehicle Compatibility & User Responsibility

Users are solely responsible for ensuring that:

  • Their vehicle is compatible with the charging station and connector type
  • Any adapters used are manufacturer-approved and properly installed
  • The vehicle and charging equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer instructions

Velocicharge is not responsible for:

  • Incompatibility between a vehicle and a charging station
  • Reduced charging performance due to vehicle limitations
  • Damage resulting from improper use, unauthorized adapters, or vehicle modifications

5. Safety & Proper Conduct

Users must comply with all posted instructions, safety warnings, and applicable laws while using the Network.

Prohibited behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Blocking chargers without actively charging
  • Tampering with charging equipment
  • Unsafe, abusive, or disruptive conduct
  • Use of charging stations for non-approved purposes

Velocicharge reserves the right to take appropriate action to protect users, equipment, and property.

6. Enforcement & Consequences

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in:

  • Idle fees or administrative charges
  • Temporary suspension of account access
  • Permanent account termination in severe or repeated cases

Enforcement actions are taken in accordance with the Terms & Conditions and applicable law.

7. Emergency, Maintenance & Force Majeure

Charging stations may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Maintenance or system upgrades
  • Power outages or grid limitations
  • Weather events or emergencies
  • Safety or security concerns

Velocicharge is not liable for service interruptions caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

8. Data, Telemetry & Evidence

To ensure proper operation, safety, and dispute resolution, Velocicharge may use:

  • Charger system logs and telemetry
  • Session timestamps and energy delivery records
  • Video surveillance and security footage where available

Such data may be reviewed as part of operational analysis, customer support, or investigations, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

9. Relationship to Other Policies

This Policy should be read together with:

  • Terms & Conditions of Use
  • Refund Policy
  • Complementary Free Charge (CFC) Coupon Terms & Conditions
