What happened?

On Nov 19, the Cybersecurity Newsletter platform reported an alleged data breach from our database. We are aware of claims regarding unauthorized access to our systems. We take all such claims seriously and have immediately initiated our incident response protocols.

Investigation report:

This is not a database breach; it is a case of stolen information. The incident involved unauthorized access to an Excel report from June/July, which was stored locally on an employee's computer from our third-party core software developer company. It is important to clarify that this report did not contain critical or security-sensitive information. These transaction reports are used to improve the customer experience and monitor the performance of each station. Additionally, several other companies were involved in this information incident, primarily concerning test data and demo systems.
Inside Investigation Status:
Our cybersecurity team, in collaboration with independent forensic experts, is conducting a thorough investigation to verify these claims. At this time, we have not found evidence to substantiate the reported breach. The preliminary investigation indicates that some of the data elements in question appear to be from historical records shared through unsecured methods and may not reflect current system states.

As Velocicharge customer, Do I need to worry? - NO

Data Core Integrity
Our main data systems remain fully secure, and there has been no compromise to our data infrastructure.

Sensitive User Data Protected
No sensitive user data, such as personal identification or financial details, was accessed or compromised during this incident.

Payment Information Security
Velocicharge does not store any payment details such as credit card numbers, security codes, etc. All transactions are managed by a payment-regulated gateway that complies with strict international security standards.

Non-Sensitive Data in the Report
The report contained no sensitive information and does not pose any security or privacy risks to users.

Can I continue using the fast charger network? - YES

We want to reiterate that this incident does not involve any API data breach or unauthorized access to system-level security functions. Our goal is to continue offering a reliable network. Users can continue utilizing the Velocicharge network as usual without any disruptions or concerns.

What are we doing to prevent situations like this?

While this was an isolated event, we are conducting an in-depth security audit to review and enhance our protocols to prevent pre sensive riscurenses in the prove. This classification, and the implementation of enhanced controls to mitigate similar risks moving forward.
